High Five for Friday: Sparkles and Cupcakes.

It's been a really busy week for me, and it's only going to get crazier.

In addition to finishing up the online courses for my teacher's certification -- I'm almost done! -- I'm doing a lot of baking for various events, helping out with a magazine my church is doing (and writing an article for it), and of course, trying to keep this blog up and running. Not to mention I'm still in the job application process. I still have to finish my resume. Put together a portfolio. Prepare a lesson for a Sunday school class I'm teaching next weekend. The list goes on.

But Friday is for focusing on the good things that happened this week, so let's do that, shall we? Here are my five favorite moments from the week. :)

1. Last Friday I was sparkly. I love being sparkly. I think it makes the day so much better.

 Not pictured: silver sparkly flats.

2. Saturday was Mission Project Day at my church and I completed a project I've been working on for awhile. Mission Project Day is when we all go out all over the city and do various projects, from picking up trash to cleaning to yard work. A few months ago, I was put in charge of organizing a closet (that desperately needed organization) and I got to work on that with an awesome team! It looks great! (I forgot to take a picture though...)

3. I made these white chocolate frosted, raspberry-jam-filled vanilla cupcakes for a special event in the Sunday school class I volunteer in. They are super yummy! (And someone who had one hired me to make another like, 6 dozen next weekend.)

4. Tuesday was our last Growth Group meeting, and we had a taco salad buffet...and brownies. And my leader gave us all chocolate.

5. Last night we had the Lord's Supper at church which is always a great program. I'm glad I get to be a part of such an awesome body of Christ.

It'll be a big day at church on Sunday due to Easter. We also have family coming over in the evening for dinner. It should be a fun day! As long as there are no Easter bunnies involved...

His only redeeming factor is that he's purple.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and week!

  1. 1. I just love that necklace
    2. The closet looks AMAZING. Seriously brought a smile to my face with someone showed it to me. Great work- you should earn a humanitarian award for such breath-taking organization. I can't wait to see it with all the labels!
    3. Those cupcakes were delicious!
    4. I love taco salad buffets.
    5. I agree
    6. Even though the bunny is creepy, you look adorable in that photo.
    7. I could have done without the random comments in #4 and #5 but I started a list and needed to finish it.
