High Five for Friday: Easter Edition.

Every Sunday I sit down and plan out how the rest of my week will go. I have a dry-erase weekly calendar hanging on my wall on which I plan out events, blog posts, school work and other various tasks I need to get done each day and I make it a goal to stick with that schedule.

That being said, the latter half of this week did not go even remotely as planned.

With a million and one things to do this week, the last thing I needed was another thing on my plate. Until I got a phone call Wednesday night asking me to sub for a third grade class the next day, and without thinking I said yes. There went all my Thursday plans.

But despite the fact that my week didn't necessarily go as planned, it was still a pretty good one. Here are some of my favorite moments from the week.

1. On Saturday I got a haircut. It's not any different -- I just got a trim -- but I love the way my hair feels after a fresh cut. It's so soft. I love it.

2. Sunday was Easter! We had a great church service and a lot of new people came. Attendance in the Sunday School class I volunteer in was nearly doubled. After church my family went over to a friend's house (along with some other families) for lunch, and then my mom's family came over to our house for dinner.

Meagan and me.

Me and my family.

3. I had a SERIOUS craving for some Biscoff Blondies, and I happened to have all the ingredients, so I made some. This is probably my favorite recipe ever. They are seriously the best.

4. I was super encouraged by this verse. It's one of my favorites.

5. Even though it was unexpected and totally messed up my Thursday plans, I love teaching. I'm glad I got one more opportunity to sub before I (hopefully) get my own class.

I have a very busy weekend ahead of me, but next week/weekend should be filled with a lot of fun activities.

What was your favorite part of this week? Don't forget to link up here.

  1. Okay, you're really making me want those blondies now! And yay for you and how you actually do the things you put on your calender! I'm always the girl with lofty goals but no motivation to actually achieve them :/

    1. They are the BEST. Seriously one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. And I can totally relate to lofty goals/no motivation. I don't always meet my goals but writing them down and putting them on my wall where I'm forced to look at them helps A LOT. Before I got my board, I never got anything done...

  2. I love your pretty purple dress! It's bringing back memories of all the trips to department stores with my Grandma to buy Easter dresses every year. One of my favorites was purple. :)
