High Five for Friday!

Friday is about to become my favorite day, and here's why.

Lauren over at Lauren Elizabeth hosts the High Five Fridays link up every Friday and I'm excited to participate!

Here's how it works: You pick your five favorite things that happened during the week and share them. That's it!

I love this because it puts the focus on the good things that happen in our lives, and challenges me to look at the positives even if I've had the worst week ever.

So without further ado, my High Five for the week:

1. Any day I get a package from Urban Peach Boutique is a good day.

 Not pictured: this amazing cardigan.

2. Two of my friends got engaged Saturday night! (Congratulations Amy and Tyler!)

3. I made a birthday cake for my best friend's mom -- my first time making a cake outside of my classes.

Chocolate cake that tastes like brownies with the most amazing chocolate buttercream frosting you've ever had.

4. Eating these apple streusel bars I made for my growth group.

Recipe found in the Sally's Baking Addiction Cookbook.

5. I started filling out applications for a teaching job this fall semester! The dream is becoming real, y'all.

How has your week been? Don't forget to link up!

  2. Hi Kayla!

    I'm from NapsandCupcakes.blogspot.com.

You're 5 is awesome, I particularly like the streusel bars. They look scrumptious. Do you have a recipe? Also, thanks for visiting my blog :) Much appreciated and I will look forward to your future posts!
